More than 2,000 new graduates join the alumni ranks during May commencement BGSU celebrated its 273rd graduation in three ceremonies at the Stroh Center in early May. In total, 2,026 diplomas were awarded, including 383 degrees granted through the Graduate College. Congratulations to our newest graduates, and welcome to the Falcon alumni network!

During late July and August, select alumni chapters will host student free send-off parties so that alumni, friends and current students may give incoming students a proper BGSU welcome! Register now for Detroit, Dayton, Chicago, Akron, Cuyahoga County, Columbus, or Lima.

Soak up the rest of summer, and then be sure to kick off the football season with Falcon alumni! Pre-game events hosted by the Alumni Association will be held for games at Florida, at Toledo, vs. Rhode Island for Homecoming, at Akron, and vs. Buffalo in Columbus.

Recent alumni accomplishments make headlines
2012 has been a busy year for Falcon graduates! Chris Hawley '95 was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting; Justin '03, '06 and Michael '05 Edwards received a prestigious College Television Award for Best Use of Music in a Film; and Kate McComb '06 was included in the June issue of Vanity Fair.
