Alumni Awards recognize the best of BGSU
Each year, the BGSU Alumni Awards celebrate the excellence of the University community. Every individual award embodies the mission of BGSU, its academic programs and the Alumni Association. This year's ceremony was held Friday, May 13.

The Alumni Laureate Scholars program, among the most prestigious awards at BGSU, congratulated its latest graduates in May and will bring in a new class this fall.

'Forward Falcons' celebrates lively history of women's sports
Long before women's sports were governed by the NCAA or Title IX changed the face of school athletics, women at BGSU were competing in a wide array of sports. "Forward Falcons," a new book by BGSU's Dr. Janet Parks, Ann Bowers and alumna Addie Hostetler Muti '86, '88 fills a gap in the recorded history.

BGSU's name added to community service honor roll
The University's commitment to both community service and to learning from it has earned BGSU a place on the 2010 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, published annually by the Corporation for National and Community Service.

Adobe Systems president and CEO receives honorary degree
Shantanu Narayen '86 received a master's degree in computer science from BGSU, received an Accomplished Alumni Award in 2006, and in 2010 was named one of the University's 100 Most Prominent Alumni.

Air Force staff sergeant earns college degree while on active duty
Air Force Staff Sgt. Joshua Falso '11, now in his sixth year as an active-duty computer and network technician, recently received his bachelor's degree from BGSU.

Huron businessman named BGSU trustee
Daniel Keller '72, '79, chairman of the venture firm Keller Capital Ltd. and president of Kellco Investment Ltd., a private investment company specializing in venture capital and private equity investments, has been appointed to a nine-year term on the BGSU Board of Trustees, Gov. John Kasich announced June 7.
