2009 Alumni Laureate Scholars named
The Bowling Green State University Alumni Association has announced this fall’s class of Alumni Laureate Scholars. The program offers the largest and most prestigious scholarship at BGSU. Selected for the full-tuition and $1,000 book-award scholarship program are Ohio residents Lynn Hogeback of Batavia, Megan Leiss of DeGraff and Sarah Trusz of Lucasville.

'09 football ticket and parking information
Single-game ticket prices will remain at the same levels as the 2008 season, with special advance rates for groups of 20 or more seeing a reduction from a year ago.

Federal grant funds study of obesity-economic link in immigrant children
Dr. Kelly Balistreri of BGSU’s Center for Family and Demographic Research hopes to answer questions about socioeconomic status and child obesity in a study funded by a two-year, $211,000 grant through the National Institutes of Health.

Composers, musicians encourged to submit original fanfare for Centennial
BGSU has announced the 2010 Centennial Fanfare Competition in honor of the 2010 Centennial Celebration. The winning work will be performed live or via recording at major BGSU 2010 Centennial events, including the Nov. 9, 2010 Centennial Convocation.

Columbus physician appointed a BGSU trustee
Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland has appointed Dr. Kevin B. Lake, a board-certified physician in Columbus, to a nine-year term on the BGSU Board of Trustees.
